Description
An audio tape of an interview carried out with a business person whose family moved from Puerto Rico to New York City. This audio tape is important because it shows the factors that were pushing people to come to the United States mainland and conditions they experienced here. The narrator explains how his father tolerated poor working conditions and how they eventually worked themselves out of poverty and hence contributes to an understanding of the Puerto Rican experience after moving stateside.
